Resume of Shitty Situations
You have probably never seen this type of resume before!
Today I will be sharing my RESUME OF SHITTY SITUATIONS.
Here is a quick list of some of the injuries/ challenges I have faced in my life:
Physical Injuries
Cracked collarbone
Patellar tendonitis in both knees
Bell’s palsy
Hernia surgery
Sciatic nerve impingement
Hearing loss
And a ton of strains and pains throughout my 31 years, with more to come I am sure because that is life.
Life Challenges
Parents split up and divorced when I was in grade 2
I have battled bouts of depression, ranging from months to years at different times in my life, and as recently as last year.
I have completed therapy gone back to therapy and even taken antidepressants
Lost my hair (lol), my confidence, and my purpose through my 20s
My Dad had a scary bypass surgery when I was in Grade 11
I experienced an attempted suicide by someone close to me when I was a child
The list could go on, but I’d rather get to the point
I tell you this not for sympathy, but so you know that I can relate. Our circumstances may be different but the question we all face as human beings is the same: How are you going to deal with this situation?
Call these situations trauma, hardship, or whatever the hell you want, the label matters less than the outcome, and the challenge for us all is: how do we pick ourselves up and get back to living after the experience?
The answer is - you need 1 or even many AHA Moments.
That is why this newsletter is called The AHA Moment - at some point in any hard situation, perspective was gained, a solution was found and the AHA happened that allowed you to move forward.
Or maybe it didn’t? Maybe you are stuck in a tough situation and have been for months or years. My hope is that maybe one of these newsletters will give you your AHA Moment, and if that isn’t enough maybe you will feel comfortable asking me for help, and together we can get you moving forward.
That’s why I started this business and that’s why I write. Our strength is not just measured in the gym, but it is a great place to start.
