There is NO Final Destination

What a fucking week.

Last week I missed my newsletter deadline and at the same time, I have been working my ass off and something else needed my full attention.

So in classic Connor fashion, I wiggled out of missing this deadline, with some inspirational messaging. 😉

You are allowed to drop the ball if it’s the only way to catch another one. Sometimes there is a more important ball that needs saving.

Having said that, you can’t keep dropping balls forever, and letting people down is still letting people down so I apologized to my readers.

…and for those of you not on my email list here is my message from last week- short and sweet.

There is
NO Final Destination.

Well sorry, technically there are 5.

Holy shit. They MADE 5 of these movies?! I don’t know about you but I stopped at Final Destination 3.

Fun fact though, number 5 came out in 2011, lol they really milked this franchise to death am I right? 😂

So now that we have established actually that death is the only
TRUE final destination, thanks to this brutally awesome franchise, here is today’s point.

During life, there is NO final destination.

Remember your successes, wins, and happy moments?
They all end.

Oh, and your losses, terrible moments, and failures?
They end too.

Some are short, some are long and terrible, and others are a mixed bag of both and that’s when life feels like complete bullshit! YAY 💩

So what the fuck are we actually doing on this planet?

Well, we are enjoying the ride. Buckle up.

The ride is the journey to and from the happy moments and honestly, it looks a lot like that roller coaster from Final Destination 3. You can’t have the highs without the lows, but you also don’t have to fly off the tracks.

Have you ever noticed how the best part of personal success is the story?

The outcome matters little by the time you get to the finish line.

The journey and all the work were what mattered to you.

The work is what inspires, the work actually builds long-term self-happiness. The work at the end of it all doesn’t even feel like work it feels like glory, it feels like you finding out who you are and becoming an awesome new you.

Anything worth having in life isn’t given to you. That’s why it has worth in the first place.

So if you are trying to lose weight, get stronger, raise children, progress in your career, or simply change, just focus on improving and finding enjoyment in each little victory.

Focus on trying over and over again and you will find your destination.

Sometimes the best destinations are the ones you don’t expect, that’s when life is really fucking fun!

and then… guess what on to the next problem, opportunity, and pursuit.

It doesn’t end until it fully ends💀

So don’t waste time being frustrated forever and don’t only pursue results that are guaranteed, because none are.

Set the expectations of yourself to simply, constant improvement, not to outcomes.

That improvement in time will get you to where you want or need to be.

Slow down, take your time, do the work, and let the victory come to you, stop chasing it.
